NEPTUNE

Abstract

Neptune_logo NEPTUNE stands for North-East Pacific Time-series Undersea Networked Experiments. It is coordinated by University of Victoria, Canada.

NEPTUNE Canada and its sister project VENUS are cabled ocean observatories operating under the administrative umbrella of Ocean Networks Canada (ONC).

ONC is a not-for-profit society created by the University of Victoria to build and sustain Canada's world leadership in ocean science and technology through the two observatories. ONC supports the core research programs and the applications of the results of the research in at least three major areas: public policy, economic development and commercialization, and public education and outreach.
